Takisha Blount was born with growing hands.

 

Raised in East New York, Brooklyn, Takisha became the hairstylist everyone called when their hair was breaking, shedding, or just refusing to cooperate. Somehow, after her trims, and treatments… it always grew back stronger.

 

Clients started joking, “Girl, you got growing hands.”

The name stuck.

 

But Takisha’s journey wasn’t always easy. As a single mother, there was a time when she and her child were living in a New York City shelter, holding onto faith and determination while she worked toward a better future.

 

With talent, resilience, and a vision bigger than her circumstances, Takisha eventually opened Kisha’s Growing Hands, turning her passion for healthy hair into a trusted place where clients come not just for styles, but for real hair therapy and hair comebacks.

 

Over the years she discovered something important: healthy hair isn’t just about products — it’s about timing, care, and rhythm. That discovery inspired her newest project, Grow Luna™, a rhythm-based haircare system designed to help people care for their hair with less guesswork and more intention.

 

Today Takisha’s mission is simple:

help people understand their hair, help stylists work smarter, and help the world grow healthier hair — one head at a time.
